Jennie Johnson

Jennie A. Johnson, age 95, of Faribault, MN, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, with Rev. Joy Bussert, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Jennie Alvina was born on August 12, 1921 in Centerville, SD to John and Anna (Sather) Erickson. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Johnson on September 21, 1938, in Flounder, SD. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1988. Jennie worked as a blanket inspector for the Faribault Woolen Mills for 19 years. She also devoted her time to A Child's Delight as a foster grandparent for 18 years.

She is survived by her son, Arnold (Della) Johnson of San Bernadino, CA; one grandson, Edwin Johnson; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Fern Erickson of Monona, IA; special friends, LaDonna Boudreau and Noraine Waskosky; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents, John and Anna; grandson, Arnold Johnson II; brothers, Clarence, Englof, Oscar, and Erick Erickson; and sisters, Edna Anderson, Dagny Davidson, and Gurna Anderson.
