Jeffrey Jon Brown, age 57, of Faribault, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the District One Hospital in Faribault.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Organization.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to services. There will be no reviewal at the church on Saturday.
Jeffrey Jon, the son of Cyril and Carol (Sheehy) Brown, was born on November 16, 1958 in Faribault. He attended Faribault Senior High School and then served in the Army National Guard until his honorable discharge in 1980. On February 19, 1994 he was united in marriage to Karen Maas at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. Jeff worked for over 41 years in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator for different companies including, Healy Construction, Met-Con Construction, Brown & Chris, Friedges, Parker/Sammon and BCM. Jeff loved riding his Harley whenever he was able. He also enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races, hunting, working on projects in his shop and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Karen Brown of Faribault; by his son Jerid Brown of Faribault; by his mother, Carol Levi of Faribault; by his siblings, Sandy Brown of Faribault, Scott Brown of Northfield, MN and Julie Brown and partner Val Johnson of Prior Lake, MN; by his brother-in-law, Terry (Karen) Maas of New Prague, MN; by three sisters-in-law, Diane Dembosky and Mike Sandberg of St. Louis Park, MN, Sheryl (Rick) Petersburg of Lakeville, MN and Kris Maas of St. Paul, MN and by aunts, uncles, and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Cyril Brown and his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Florence Maas.
