Jeannette A. Morris, age 80, of Faribault died suddenly on Monday, September 27, 2010 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Visitation will be at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jeannette. Jeannette Ann Morris, the daughter of George and Sarah (Schulz) Hagel, was born on December 5, 1929 in Waterville, Minnesota. In 1947, Jeannette moved to Faribault and attended Faribault High School, graduating with the class of 1948. On November 27, 1948, Jeannette was united in marriage to Lawrence G. Morris at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Jeannette worked at the Ochs Department Store and also at Mealey's Restaurant in Faribault for many years. She enjoyed, working in her yard, nature, going to Birds and Bagels at the River Bend Nature Center, traveling with Lawrence, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jeannette is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence; her son Terry Morris of Faribault, her daughter, Tammy (Stan) Boe of Faribault and their children Jason (Gwen) Boe, Heidi Boe and Sarah Boe; and daughter Tricia (Michael) Sinn of Inver Grove Heights and their children Laura Sinn and Julie Sinn; by her great grandchildren Madison, Parker and Jozey Boe; by her sisters-in-law Millie Schlossin and Irene Omundson and by many other relative and friends. Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Katie Hagel.
