Jeanitt M. Stransky, age 63, of Maple Grove and formerly of Faribault, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale following a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday morning. Jeanitt Marie Magedanz, the daughter of Edwin and Catherine (Giefer) Magedanz, was born on July 29, 1948 in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1963. Jeanitt married David Stransky on February 7, 1970 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. She worked at Sheldahl Inc. of Northfield until her sons were born. She then was a devoted homemaker for her family and dedicated volunteer at her church and children's school. Jeanitt enjoyed gardening, reading, and being with her family. She will be dearly missed by her husband, David of Maple Grove; sons, Scott of Crystal Lake, MN, and Jason of Maple Grove; granddaughters, Olivia and Cora; brother, Jim (Vicki) Magedanz of Aitkin, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
