Janna L. Novak, age 73 of Faribault, MN passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Emerald’s at Faribault following an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.
Janna Lee, the daughter of LuVern and Delores (Kabnick) Gasner, was born on May 23, 1946 in Owatonna, MN. She attended Medford High School and graduated with the class of 1964. On August 1, 1964 she was united in marriage to Milo Novak at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. Milo preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2006. After their marriage they lived in Medford, MN until 1977 when they built a home in rural Faribault where they enjoyed hobby farming and gardening. Janna worked for many years as an inserter at Cannon Valley Printing and in retirement worked part time at Wal-Mart. Janna enjoyed going on trips with her family, gardening and she loved flowers. She also enjoyed going to concerts, going to fairs and trips to the casino.
She is survived by her daughter, Chantelle (Cory) Drietz and their son Connor of Linwood, NC; by her siblings, LuVern Darvin (Judy) Gasner of Faribault, Joyce (Lee) Thompson of Lee, Florida, Galen Gasner of Rosemount, MN, Bob (Mavis) Gasner of Owatonna and Mark (Cozy) Peterson of Faribault, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael Novak, brother, Billy Gasner and sister, Judy Holthus. Janna Novak was a loving mother who always put her children first.
