Janice A. Borst, age 72, of Faribault, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault following an extended illness. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. There will be no viewing at the church on Tuesday. Janice Ann Caron, the daughter of Wilfred and Jessie (Beucler) Caron, was born on January 23, 1940 in Faribault and attended Bethlehem Academy High School. She was a homemaker for her family and also worked at the Faribault Woolen Mill, and was a motel manager for six years. She married Lawrence Borst on November 22, 1980 in Faribault. They enjoyed many years of traveling together and wintering in Florida and Texas. Janice had a passion for painting and was a longtime member of the Faribault Art Center, where she volunteered numerous hours. She took pride in her angel collection and her faith was of great importance to her. Janice loved to be with her family and enjoyed being the host for holiday gatherings. She took pride in her cooking abilities which many enjoyed. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence of Faribault; four children, Randy Heil of Faribault, Gregory Heil of Owatonna, Connie (Michael) Borst of Faribault, and Karlene (Kerry) Bleninger of Faribault; six step-children, Teresa (Cliff) Ennis of Faribault, Larry Jr. (Michele) Borst of Rochester, Carmen (Richard) Breyer of Faribault, Sharon (Richard) Schuman of Morristown, Cheryl (Mark) Moriarity of Morristown, and Connie (Bob) Gersemehl of Faribault; 25 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; seven siblings, George (Delores) Caron of Faribault, Theresa (Lyle) Hoaglund of Dodge Center, Jeannie (Lorrie) Finstuen of Pine Island, Kathy (Butch) Schwartz of Faribault, Dennis (Georgy) Caron of Faribault, Debbie (John) Olson of Rochester, and Duane Caron of Faribault; sister-in-law, Patricia Caron of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rollie Caron; and son in infancy, Dale.
