James F. “Jim” Beaupre, age 77 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
James Francis was born on December 15, 1941 in Faribault to Philbert and Evelyn (Meillier) Beaupre. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1960. Jim worked for the City of Faribault for over 30 years at the waste management treatment facility. He was a licensed engineer and member of the Minnesota Wastewater Operators Association for 30 years. Jim also worked at the Bowling Center as manager for many years and was a longtime volunteer at the Faribault Chamber of Commerce, receiving their Volunteer of the Year award. Jim was married to Elaine (Dix) Kenow Beaupre on January 2, 1988. They enjoyed their winters in Florida for many years and lived in Cross Lake, MN for 15 years before moving back to Faribault in 2015. Jim was a longtime member of AA, receiving his 51-year pin. He was very involved in AA, speaking all over the state of Minnesota and helping many who struggled with their addiction. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Beaupre; children, Jacquie Beaupre (Kathy Murphy) and Dean Beaupre; son-in-law, Shane Morgan; step-children, Cheryl (James) Brunner and William (Amy) Kenow; grandchildren, Mitch Morgan, Dillon Morgan, Ryan (Karri) Kenow, Andy (Amy) Brunner, Adam (Amy) Kenow, Jesse (Hanna) Kenow, and Anthony (Laura) Kenow; great grandchildren, Braelynn Kenow, Tenlee Kenow, Ayden Brunner, Austyn Brunner, and Nora Kenow; siblings, Roger Beaupre, William (Lora) Beaupre, Kenneth (Carol) Beaupre, John Beaupre, Ron (Kathy) Beaupre, and Lori (Rob) Huber; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philbert and Evelyn; daughter, Sharon Morgan; sisters, Diane Dienst and Janet Kanzenbach; sister-in-law, Jan Beaupre; and a brother in infancy.
