James “Jim” Anderson, age 64 of Garvin, MN and formerly Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home.
James Scott, the son of James E. and Yvonne (Resick) Anderson, was born on June 3, 1960 in Sleepy Eye, MN. Jim grew up in Faribault and graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the Class of 1978. He worked at Dusek’s Bakery in downtown Faribault for many years before working for Anderson’s Windows and Bernatello’s Pizza. While Jim wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting, spending time at the cabin, being a Pheasant Hunting Guide, sharing recipes with his daughter, grilling, and taking care of his tomato plants. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his loyal companions, Rose and Kilo. Jim was the life of the party.
Jim is survived by his children, Jackie (Jeremy) Drager and Jim (Carly) Anderson; grandchildren, Jackson, Jaelynn, Jaymeson, Brooklyn (Robert), and Garrison; sisters, Jan (Dean) Herda, Jill Anderson, and Michele (Larry) Borst; significant other, Kelly Jacob and her children and grandchildren; loyal companions, Rose and Kilo, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Scott Anderson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church with Father Cory Rohlfing officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church prior to Mass.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
