Isidore "Issy" Caron, age 79, of Faribault, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna after a sudden illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault, with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Isidore Joseph, the son of Lewis and Lena (Chavie) Caron, was born on June 28, 1931 in Faribault. Issy attended Bethlehem Academy. On April 4, 1951 he was united in marriage to Delores Veron. She preceded him in death on February 20, 1969. Issy worked for 52 years in auto body repair, starting in Little Canada and Vadnais Heights, MN. While in Vadnais Heights, Issy was a volunteer firefighter. In 1988 he moved to Faribault and continued his Caron Motor business. On October 28, 2000 he was united in marriage to Patricia Brown at Sacred Heart Church in Faribault. For many years Issy played in the band, The Playmors and perfomed in the five state areas. Later he would DJ and lead karaoke at various establishments. Flying airplanes was a hobby of Issy's and he also enjoyed go to the cabin in Orr, MN. He was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Patrica Rae Caron of Faribault; by four children, Thomas (Kathleen) Caron of Little Canada, MN, Katherine Caron of Taylors Falls, MN, Anne Caron of St. Paul, MN and Jean Caron of Taylors Falls, MN; by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; by three siblings, LaDonna Brunner, Patricia (Greg) Caron and Lewis Jr. (Marlene) Caron, all of Faribault and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, 3 brothers, Jerome, Bernard and Clement Caron and by 5 sisters, Genevieve Goodwin, Evelyn Thiffault, Irene Thompson, Dolores Bloomquist and Bernadine Jackson.
