Irene "Mickey" Noterman, age 83, of Faribault, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, pastor officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services. A rosary service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4:00. Irene Elizabeth Swehla, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Schoeben) Swehla, was born on August 12, 1926 in Austin, MN. On January 2, 1945 she was united in marriage to George Noterman in Austin, MN. Mickey and George owned and operated George's Standard Oil Company in Faribault for several years. George preceded her in death on August 10, 1979. Mickey later moved to Arizona and lived there until 2005 when she returned to Minnesota. Mickey was very involved with activities at Divine Mercy Catholic Church including, the Daughters of Isabella, Council of Catholic Women, Rosary Society and most recently with the Adoration Chapel. She is survived by five children, Dr. Sharon March of Waynesboro, PA, Steven (Danelle) Noterman of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Gerald Noterman of Faribault, Connie Noterman and Fred Morris of Minneapolis, MN and Mary Noterman of Chanhassen, MN; by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; by her sister, Rosella Svejkovsky of St. Cloud, MN; by her brother, Ron (Dorothy) Swehla of Prescott, AZ and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert (Bobby) Noterman and by her sister Lois Beckel.
