Irene Decoux

Irene P. DeCoux, age 96, of Faribault, MN passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Emeralds of Faribault Care Center.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N. in Faribault with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date at Corinthian Lodge Cemetery in Farmington, MN.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Irene Petra, the daughter of Alfred and Julia (Halverson) Kvam was born on May 19, 1923 in Ironton, MN.  Her family moved to Pequot Lakes, MN when she was growing up and she attended school there.  In 1965 she was married to Henry Deuth and he preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1978.  Later she married Joseph DeCoux on May 24, 1985 in Brookings, SD.  Joe preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 2008.  Irene worked for over 20 years at Mercury Minnesota in Faribault, retiring in 1985.  She also worked for a short time at the Modern Bar and Café.  Irene enjoyed gardening, swimming, dancing and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosanne Eaton of Faribault; by 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Alber Kvam and sister, Clarice Brandt.
