Hope Eva (Robeck) Menk joined our father in heaven on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the age of 88.. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Janesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being completed by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville. Hope was born to Louis and Anna (Hanson) Robeck on June 12, 1924 in LeSueur County. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter and graduated from St. Peter High School. She married Archie Menk on November 1, 1945 in Seattle, Washington. She and Archie moved to Janesville and had their own dry cleaning business. In 1960 they added a Laundromat. Hope worked at their business along side Archie. Eventually Hope ran the business when Archie became fulltime with the Post Office. They closed the dry cleaning and only had the Laundromat which they sold in 1972. Hope was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Trinity Dorcas Society. She is survived by her four children; Charlotte (Tom) Giese of North Mankato, Pam (Jerel) Cowdin of Janesville, Gerald (Mary) Menk of Lake Forest, IL, and Judy Kohout of Janesville; Grandchildren Anthony Giese, Karen Giese-Witte, Amy Ziegler, Jason Cowdin, Elizabeth Jetto, Joshua Menk, and Deborah Bruers, Step Grandchildren Tammy Dian and Todd Kohout, six great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. One brother Clinton Robeck of Gaylord, Sisters in law LaVon Robeck of Janesville and Marge Robeck of St. Peter. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Archie, son in law Roger Kohout, sisters Thelma and Levka, brothers Merle, Dale and Gordon. Niece Brenda Huberty.
