Helen T. Reveland, age 94, of Faribault, MN, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023, surrounded by her family at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, MN.
Helen Theresa was born on October 27, 1928, and raised on a farm on the east side of Cedar Lake (Shieldsville Township) to Joseph and Helen (Dwyer) Forcelle. She attended country school and started Faribault High School in 7th grade and was a member of the class of 1947. After high school she worked at Och’s Department Store in the “Ladies Ready Wear” until the store’s eventual closing. On August 28, 1954, she married Ordean Reveland at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. They were married for 50 years until Ordean’s passing on May 11, 2005. Along with Ordean, she is in the Bethlehem Academy Court of Honor. Helen enjoyed music, dinner theatres, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a tremendous bowler and active in her bowling league for over 20 years. She was past president of the Immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women, past regent of the Daughter’s of Isabella for two terms, co-president of the Divine Mercy Ladies Auxiliary, and a longtime member of the American Legion Post 43 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her four children, Diane Clapp (Stephen) of Northfield, MN, Janice Nelson (Robert) of Stillwater, MN, Thomas Reveland (Rhonda Dellwo) of Jordan, MN, and Shelly Otto (Thomas) of St. Louis Park, MN; six grandchildren, William Clapp (Meggan), Joseph Clapp, Anna Harrington (Keegan), Christian Reveland, Marthalee Reveland, and Robert Otto; great granddaughter, Darcy Clapp; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ordean; parents, Joseph and Helen; sisters, Emma Paquette, and Madeline “Bunny” Chappuis; and brother, Raymond Forcelle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pleasant Manor, Three Links Care Center, and especially St. Croix Hospice for the tremendous care they provided for Helen.
