Helen England

Helen E. England, age 99, of Faribault, MN, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the District One Hospital in Faribault.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the new location of Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault., with Rev. Jan Bodin, pastor of the Congregational Church of Faribault, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday for one hour prior to the services.

Helen Esther was born on August 17, 1918 in Faribault to John A. and Lillie (Schreiber) Meyer. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1936. Helen was united in marriage to George A. England on November 26, 1945 in Faribault. Helen was a homemaker for her family. After George passed away on January 30, 1970, Helen worked as a secretary at Washington School in Faribault for 10 years. She also volunteered for Faribault Area Hospice and the Rice County Historical Society. Helen was a longtime and devoted member of the Congregational Church.

She is survived by her son, John (Judy) England of St. Paul; four grandchildren, Tim England, Mike (Amy) England, Mary (Owen) Hansen, and Kathleen England; four great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, John and Lillie; two brothers, Ronald Meyer and Roger Meyer; and two sisters, Florence Powers and her twin, Gladys Merchant.
