Gregory Kenneth, the son of Lester and Marie (Bluel) Caron, was born October 26, 1935 in Faribault, MN. Greg attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from the 8th grade before attending Faribault High School where he graduated with the class of 1955. After high school he attended Dunwoody School for tool and die and worked as a machinist. Gregory and his sweetheart, Patricia Caron, were married April 27, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. They lived in South Minneapolis the first year of their marriage where they started their family before moving back to Faribault. Greg was a jack of all trades and worked various jobs. He was a partner in Caron's Meat Processing Plant of Faribault and later owner of Caron Muff-ex also in Faribault. In his retirement, Greg set out to dedicate his time to serving the poor and the church. Greg was one of the leaders and also served as Spiritual Director at St. Vincent DePaul in Faribault, where he and many others volunteered their time to serving the poor in our community. He also served at Divine Mercy Catholic Church of Faribault in various capacities including being an adult altar server at daily Mass. Greg joined Twin City Cursillo Community in 1989 and remained active. Greg loved his family and enjoyed spending time at the Caron Family Cabin, Caron Family Reunions, and attending all of his grandchildren's events. He was happiest fishing in his boat, hunting, camping in the Boundry Waters, making rocking chairs for his grandchildren and working with his hands. He was loved by many.
