Gregg Alan Bauer “Bubba” was born in Faribault, on the windy morning of January 25, 1964 to Dennis and Karen (Conklin) Bauer. He married the love of his life, Catherine Mensing on June 23, 1984.
He graduated from Faribault High School in 1982 and continued his education at Faribault Vocational School, where he graduated in 1984 in Small Engine Mechanics. He worked at Ahlman’s Marine before starting his dream of owning his own business, Quality Marine.
Gregg grew up on the Bauer family farm where he learned that hard work and determination was the way to get what you wanted in life. In 2005, Gregg and Cathy took over the farm where they continued to raise their four children, Josh Bauer (Katie Burvee) of Faribault, Joe (Kris) Bauer of Faribault, Jill Swedberg (Travis Madrazo) of Owatonna and Grace (Rob) Reuvers of Faribault.
He was a great story teller and loved a good debate. He knew just the right balance of when to talk and when to listen. Gregg was an amazing Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother who shared many of his traditions and life-long skills with the family.
He had 11 grandchildren, Anthony Bauer, Marissa Bauer, Riley Bauer, Austin Henson, Brandon (Erin) Berger, Makayla Bauer, Evelynn Swedberg, Johnathan Swedberg, Olivia Madrazo, Wesley Reuvers and Willow Reuvers.
While spending many years camping, snowmobiling, gardening and taking the love of his life fishing, he truly loved returning home to the farm he called Paradise.
Gregg was the oldest of his siblings, Brian Bauer of Faribault, Chad Bauer of Kenyon, Gayle (Todd) Finneseth of Faribault and Brent (Kim) Bauer of Waterville.
