Gerald (Jerry) Cloutier, age 80, of Faribault, died on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Dr., Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Gerald Ramon Cloutier, the son of Paul and Anna (Solberg) Cloutier, was born on March 27, 1930 in Faribault. He was married to Evelyn Miller on August 7, 1950 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. She preceded him in death on May 22, 1978. Jerry lived in Faribault most of his life. He was a cook at Abel's Broiler and then worked as a cook and cook supervisor for 26 years at the Faribault State Hospital. Jerry enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing and was a big Twins and Vikings fan. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to country music. He is survived by five children, Steven Cloutier of Faribault, Jean (Timothy) Heffron of Ft. Wayne, IN, Judy (Joe) Grabski of Glendale, AZ, Annie (John) Martin of LaCrosse, WI, and Robert (Rochelle) Cloutier of Faribault; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six brothers, Paul Cloutier, James Cloutier, George (Gloria) Cloutier, Russell Cloutier and Donald (Nancy) Cloutier, all of Faribault and David (Myoko) Cloutier of Santee, CA; four sisters, Lorraine Glynn, LaVonne Mogren, Kathy Keilen and Janice (Phil) Ellerbusch all of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and three brothers, Charles, Norman, and Neil Cloutier.
