Gary F. Caron, age 59, of Faribault, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Gary Francis Caron, the son of Ferdinand and Gertrude (Awe) Caron, was born on August 17, 1950 in Faribault, MN. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1969. He then attended Faribault Vo-Tech to be a machinist. Gary was married to Diane Holz and they had four sons, Matthew, Randy, Nathan, and Andrew. They were later divorced. Gary worked as a machinist for many years at Sheldahl in Northfield. Gary was also a longtime farmer in Cannon City Township and especially enjoyed his antique tractors. He also liked caring for his dog, Rufus. He is survived by his three sons, Randy (Amy) Caron, Nathan Caron, and Andrew Caron, all of Faribault; granddaughter, Hannah Caron; three sisters, Kathy Moes of Farmington, Michele (David) Holmblad of Faribault, and Debbie (Maurice) Jorgenson of Bolchow, MO; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Matthew Caron.
