Frank Chappuis Jr

Frank V. Chappuis Jr., age 80 of Faribault, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, MN. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School, Bethlehem Academy Athletic Department, Church of St. Patrick and the Courage Kenny Foundation in memory of Frank.

Frank Vincent, the son of Frank Sr. and Mildred (Von Ruden) Chappuis was born in Faribault, MN. He attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1953. Following high school Frank attended St. Cloud State University. On August 20, 1955 he was united in marriage to Gerri Olmstead in Minneapolis, MN. Frank was a mason in the construction industry for over 60 years. His career began in Minneapolis and after a few years he started his own company, Chappuis Construction. Later in his career he worked as a mason and job site superintendent for Met-Con Construction. Frank enjoyed spending time with all of his family and also enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, Nascar, football and reading. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #889 in Faribault.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gerri Chappuis of Faribault; by his daughter, Deb (Cameron) Morgan of Cave Creek, AZ; by his son Mike (Diane) Chappuis of Eagan, MN; by his 3 granddaughters, Mariah Morgan of Cave Creek, AZ and Claire and Erin Chappuis of St. Paul, MN; by his sister, Ann (Don) Van Ryn of Rochester, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
