Francis "Frank" Chavie Jr.

Francis “Frank” L. Chavie Jr. age 57 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 3, 2020.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Francis Louis, the son of Francis and Leona (Jackson) Chavie was born on September 11, 1962 in Faribault.  He attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1981.  Following high school Frank attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis for electronics.   He worked for many years at Herff Jones Company in Burnsville, MN and for the past 15 years worked as an electronics technician at SAGE Electrochromics in Faribault.  Frank enjoyed fishing, target shooting, watching football, relaxing, barbecuing with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his spouse, Shawn Brunner of Faribault; by his children, Tailor (Erica) Chavie of Owatonna, MN, Jordan Chavie (Morgan) of Faribault and Noah Chavie of Faribault; by his stepchildren, Ryan Brunner (Tasha) and Stephanie Brunner (Jamie) both of Faribault; by five grandchildren, Faith, Ashton, Kiley, Evelynn and Kinsley; by his siblings, Linda Englander of Lisle, IL, Lois (Bill) Kelly of Holliston, MA, Philip Chavie of Burnsville, MN, Michael (Joan) Chavie of Faribault, Dale (Charlene) Chavie of Anchorage, AK, Jean (Chuck) Silkey of Faribault, Kay (Darrel) Franke of Farmington, MN and Brian (Kelly) Chavie of Faribault and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Grayson Francis Chavie.
