Francis R. Bussert

Francis R. Bussert, age 80, of Faribault, MN passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at The Emeralds at Faribault.

Francis Richard, the son of John and Cecelia (Keilen) Bussert, was born on February 4, 1943 in Faribault, MN. Francis grew up in Faribault and worked various jobs, including, farming, Jennie-O Turkey, and as a forklift operator for Faribault Foods. He met the love of his life, Diane Wall, in 1979 and they were united in marriage on June 14, 1980. While he wasn’t working, Francis enjoyed, fishing, farming, going for rides around the nature center and local lakes, playing pull tabs, watching the Minnesota Twins, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his Gunner Boy.

Francis is survived by his sons, Michael Munoz, Richard Bussert (Jenny Shelstad), and Matt Bussert; 6 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Bill (Mary) Bussert, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; parents, John and Cecelia; brothers, Paul (Rita) Bussert and Larry (JoAnn) Bussert; and sister, Rose (Harold) Johnson.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault.
