Evelynn Pearl Bauernfeind, the six year old daughter of Josh and Katie (Cap) Bauernfeind, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the District One Hospital in Faribault, as a result of lifelong heart complications.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville.  Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.             Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church.             Evelynn Pearl Bauernfeind, the daughter of Joshua and Katherine (Cap) Bauernfeind, was born on April 5, 2006 in Faribault. She was baptized at Immaculate Conception in Faribault. The family lived in Ellendale and she attended pre-school there. After moving to Faribault she attended kindergarten and was currently in 1st grade at Nerstrand Charter School. She also attended faith formation at St. Patrick's Church in Shieldsville.             Evelynn was such a unique little girl, always worried about everyone else. She loved to dance, and was a member of Studio of Stars. You could always hear her sing "You are my Sunshine" to her puppy in the bathroom mirror. She also enjoyed making crafts; even her puppy Tootsie served as her masterpiece decorated in barrettes and bows. One of her favorite things to do was playing dress up and tea parties with Kennedy, who she called her little sister. She knew Kennedy adored her and it brought great joy to Evelynn to be the big sister, just like she always wanted. Evelynn loved the color pink, fancy dresses, high heels, glitter and glam, but she also ran right alongside her brothers playing smash up derby, riding go carts, snowmobiling, and feeding the deer. She enjoyed playing at the beach with all her cousins and brothers. She loved to sit on the end of the dock and fish; it never mattered if she had a worm on her line or not, and the boys were always there to untangle her line and remove her fish. She enjoyed going on walks with her Grandma and Grandpa Cap and spending time with her Mammy and Papa Bauernfeind. Evelynn felt great comfort snuggling between her mom and dad every night.             Evelynn was honored by the angels of Make a Wish foundation by having her wish to meet all the princesses at Disney World of Florida, where they honored her as a princess. During that time she was a carefree healthy girl roaming the park and dining in the castle with all the princesses stopping by to hug her.             Evelynn said she was an angel and that one day she would be a shining star in the sky once again. Evelynn was surrounded by her family with love when God took her up to fulfill his bigger plans. Our sissy girl will be greatly missed by her family that beyond loved her.             She is survived by her parents, Josh and Katie Bauernfeind of Faribault; brothers, Cole and Beau Bauernfeind; maternal grandparents, Richard and Kathleen (Bauer) Cap of Faribault; paternal grandparents, George and Suzanne (Sadie) Bauernfeind of Cottage Grove, MN; great grandmother, Pearl (Basta) Hopson of Garden City, Kansas; Godparents, Christa Nagel and Dan Bauernfeind; aunts, uncles and cousins: Richard and Catherine Cap and children, Ethan, Joseph, Jonathan, and Benjamin of Faribault; Wendy (Cap) and Thomas Wolter and children, Calvin, Madison, and Ashley of Elko; Elizabeth Cap and son, Ashton of Faribault; Mary (Cap) and Paul Menne and children, Sam, Lauren, Matt, Liam, and Elijah of Henderson; Daniel Bauernfeind and daughter, Kennedy of Faribault; Jeff and Marie Reed and children, Seth, Kimberly, and Natily of Mapleton, MN; and Robert Reed of Oklahoma; her puppy, Tootsie, and her kitties; her 3 big dogs, Buck, Bella and Cash; and many extended family and loved ones.             She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Alvin and Mabel Bauer, George and Grace Cap, Harold and Eldora Bauernfeind, and Darrell Hopson.
