Eugene “Butch” Farnsworth, age 73, of Janesville, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at his home following an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N. in Faribault on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
Eugene Glenn, the son of Robert Farnsworth and Madelyn Grant was born on June 23, 1946 in River Falls, WI. Butch served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge Butch began a lifelong career as a self-employed over the road truck driver, traveling all over the United States. He was united in marriage to Angeline Aldrich on September 27, 2019 in Rochester, MN. Butch enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and Green Bay Packers and going for rides exploring the areas he grew up in and lived.
He is survived by his wife Angeline of Janesville, MN; by seven children, Paul Peters of Faribault, Terry Englund of Red Wing, MN, Kenneth Farnsworth of Michigan, Emery (Bridget) Farnsworth of Lutz, FL, Theresa (Steve) Barry of Thief River Falls, MN, Jesse Farnsworth of Mankato, MN and Nichole (Jeremy) Farnsworth of Faribault; by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; by siblings, Linda (Jim) Pommeranz of Waterville, MN, Thomas (Sharon) Conroy of Red Wing, MN, Karen Peters of Red Wing, MN, Kathleen Conroy of Baltimore, MD, Richard Conroy, Northfield, MN, Scott Conroy of Red Wing, MN, Julie Conroy of Red Wing, MN, Robert Farnsworth, Judy McGillis and Georgette Davidheiser, all of Pennsylvania, sister-in-law, Marilyn Conroy of Red Wing, brother-in-law, Greg Gernentz of Red Wing, and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Madelyn and Joseph Conroy and Robert Farnsworth, by his daughter, Rebecca Webster, by three grandchildren, William and Steven Barry and Jared Webster and by three siblings, Michael Conroy, Peggy Conroy and Susan Gernentz.
