Ethel Bull

Ethel M. Bull, age 99 of Janesville, died on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Lakeshore Inn, Waseca.   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Janesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bescye P. Burnett, officiating. Interment will be in the Smiths Mill Cemetery.   Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Janesville United Methodist Church. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements.   Ethel Marie was born on August 11, 1911 in Waseca County, Minnesota to Herman and Matilda (Pream) Schauer. Ethel attended Waseca County country schools. On June 27, 1927 she was united in marriage to Howard P. Bull at the First Congregational Church Parsonage in Waseca. Ethel and Howard lived the first 6 years of their marriage in New Richland. They spent the next 30 years in Waldorf before moving to Janesville in 1969. Ethel worked for 8 years at Birds Eye Foods in Waseca, and served as custodian for the Janesville United Methodist Church for 18 years. She was a very active member of the Janesville United Methodist Church, where she held various offices over the years. Ethel was a former member of the Janesville Senior Citizens. She most enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren.     She is survived by her daughters Janice (Marvel) Stanke of Janesville, and Geraldine Peterson of Waseca; by her son Murton (Lorraine) Bull of Pharr, TX; by her sister-in-law Marge Schauer of Waseca; by 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 15 great, great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband Howard, her brothers Melvin, Herbert, and Donald (Marge) Schauer, and her sister Mabel (Iver) Johnson; by her son-in-law Albin Peterson.
