Elaine Lemieux

Elaine Kitzman LeMieux, age 99, of Faribault, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault with Fr. Kevin Kenney, officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.

Elaine Marie Plante, the daughter of Arthur and Hedwig (Lambert) Plante, was born on September 22, 1917 in Faribault, MN. Elaine graduated from Faribault High School. On September 29, 1938 she was united in marriage to Theodore Kitzman at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and they would be blessed with seven children. Ted preceded her in death in 1957. In 1964, Elaine married Louis LeMieux and he preceded her in death in 1988. Elaine worked for over 20 years as a Sales Clerk at JCPenney's in Faribault. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family and also enjoyed playing cards, singing in the church choir, shopping, crocheting, flowers, gardening and traveling with the Senior Citizens group all over the world. She was a member of the DAV and the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by six children, Jerry Kitzman of Kenyon, MN, Barbara (James) Swanson of Faribault, MN, Chuck (Ruth Ann) Kitzman of Faribault, MN, Bill (Janet) Kitzman of Faribault, MN, Tim (Robbie) Kitzman of Maple Grove, MN and Marsha (Jerry) Moravec of Faribault, MN; by 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; by her brother, Lambert (Norma) Plante of Cottage Grove, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, daughter, Kathleen Wallaker, three grandchildren, Wesley Swanson, Jeff Wallaker and Tiffany Kitzman, great granddaughter, Ashley Hanson, her brother, Wilfred Plante, her twin sister in infancy, Lorraine Plante, three sisters, Laura Anderson, Olive Soeters and Bernadette Plante and by her daughter in law, Shirley Kitzman.
