Elaine Marie Brown, the daughter of Leonard and Mary (O'Brien) Brown, was born on October 17, 1931 in Faribault. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1949. After high school, Elaine worked as a nurses' aid at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, an assistant for American Board of Radiology in Rochester, and then worked at Sheldahl Inc. in Northfield. Elaine had a zest for life and great pride in her Irish heritage! She was a frequent entertainer at area nursing homes and could be found on St. Patrick's Day entertaining many with Irish songs. Elaine always maintained a positive attitude overcoming the effects of epilepsy. She was recognized for her unselfishness to the community as an Unsung Hero by the Faribault Daily News. Elaine lived life to the fullest and always approached it with a positive attitude. She will be remembered by many for her thoughtfulness, love for others, and giving spirit.
