Edwin Kracke

Edwin M. Kracke, age 63, of Owatonna, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his home.      Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, with the Rev. John Lestock, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna, officiating.    Memorial visitation will be held on at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.    Edwin Melvin Kracke, the son of Melvin and Ruth (Bernhagen) Kracke, was born on January 28, 1948 in Edgeley, North Dakota. He attended and graduated from the Lehr High School in Lehr, North Dakota. Throughout his life, Edwin worked at various jobs including: Texaco, Owatonna Peoples Press as a carrier and later retired from Viracon in Owatonna in 2009. Edwin enjoyed playing cards, fishing all year round, taking trips to Mystic Lake, and most importantly being a sports fanatic, especially to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings teams.     He is survived by his children, Roy (Stephanie) Kracke and Joanne Kracke, bothe of Paul's Valley, OK; his six grandchildren, Lacey, Christena, Kathleen, Seleena Frazier, Dylan and Victoria Ruth; by his six siblings, Lawrence of Fargo, Phyllis Kruger of Bismark, ND, Barbra (Gary) Spirual of Wyoming, David (Nancy) of ND, Sheri (Jerry) Migualor of NJ, and Linda (Larry) Gary of Delaware, and by other relatives and friends.    He was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandson Theodore Melvin Kracke in 2006.
