Edmond Condon

Edmond F. Condon, age 92, of Faribault, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at Immaculate Conception, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.                        Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.             Edmond Francis Condon, the son of William and Frances (Smith) Condon, was born on March 18, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN. He attended DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis and graduated with the class of 1934. On September 7, 1936 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Tornes at St. Helenas Catholic Church in Minneapolis. During World War II Ed worked at Northern Pump in Fridley building turrets. Later they moved to Warsaw Township and together they farmed for over 50 years. During that time Ed also worked for 25 years at Sheldahl in Northfield. When he wasn't working Ed enjoyed walking in the woods with his cat, wood working, horticulture and collecting baseball memorabilia and talking about baseball.             He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Condon of Faribault; by four children, Stephen Condon of Minneapolis, Lawrence (Jean) Condon of Faribault, Joyce (Rodney) Bokman of Faribault and Donald (Carolyn) Condon of New Richland, MN; by 17 grandchildren, Ronald Johnson, Stephen Condon Jr., James Condon, Robert Condon, Christina Sobiech, Angela Heyer, Jolene Leet, Michael Bokman, Thomas Bokman, Melissa Bokman, Jeremy Bokman, Valerie Christensen, Merry Chris Condon, Gregory Condon, Jeffrey Condon, Debbie Duryea and Sherry Condon; by 26 great grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Parker Condon, Evan Condon, Alyssa Condon, Cody Condon, Katelyn Condon, Jenna Condon, Isabelle Sobiech, Vincent Sobiech, Dylan Heyer, Logan Heyer, Blake Heyer, Brennan Heyer, Madelyn Leet, Connor Leet, Alex Leet, Andrew Bokman, Matthew Bokman, Jordan Bokman, Alec Bokman, Mariah Bokman, Taylor Bokman, Tasha Bokman, Jedda Bokman, Spencer Christensen and Samuel Christensen and other relatives and friends.             He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Robert Charles Condon and by two grandchildren, Suzanne Kopischke and Patrick Condon.
