Doris G. St. Martin, age 98 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Doris Grace, the daughter of Albert and Olive (VanVoorhis) Fremouw, was born on July 31, 1921 in Northfield, MN. She attended Northfield High School. On January 6, 1939 she was united in marriage to Bernard St. Martin at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. Bernard preceded her in death on July 4, 1980. Doris began working at the turkey plant and later worked for many years at the Faribault Regional Center as an administrative assistant until her retirement. She did all this while raising their growing family. Doris was a caretaker to all, mother of her neighborhood and her door was always open to anyone in need. Everyone seemed to gravitate towards her, and her caring personality and she played a big role in all of her families live’s. Family was very important to Doris and she loved spending time with everyone. Doris was an amateur writer and won a contest through the Daily News about her life. She also enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, playing cards and loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her children, Roxanne Kolterman, Claudia Skogen, Bradley (Debra) St. Martin, Jeffrey St. Martin (Patte Brody), Rebecca St. Martin and Lisa (Dan) Swanson, all of Faribault; by 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; by her brother, Alvin (Jeanette) Fremouw of Menomonie, WI and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, Albert St. Martin, two sons, Lawrence and Steven St. Martin, grandson, Adam St. Martin, great grandson, Tyler Springer and by nine siblings.
