Donna J. Pexa, age 60, of Northfield, MN, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, following an extended illness.
Donna Jean was born on August 18, 1960 in Northfield to James and Grace (Jones) Tuma. She graduated from Northfield High School with the class of 1978. Donna worked many jobs over her lifetime, including house and business cleaning, construction clean-up work, and at Mystic Lake Casino in the wardrobe department. She was incredibly resourceful, collecting and selling scrap parts and making and selling her crafts. Some of Donna’s talents were making dreamcatchers, sketching, woodworking, and etching mirrors. She enjoyed being with others and especially loved the time she spent with her grandson and nephews.
She is survived by her children, Tara Pexa of Faribault, and Patrick Pexa of Minneapolis; grandson, Chad Breitenfeldt; sister, Deb Tuma of Faribault; niece, Cassie Tuma; nephews, Nason and Lucas; her boyfriend, Dale Jones of Northfield; the father of her children, Wayne Pexa of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Grace; her brother, Dewey Tuma; and her grandson, Hunter Pexa.
A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Faribault Eagle’s Club, 2027 Grant St., Faribault.
