The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Faribault Area Hospice or the Donor's choice. Donna Mae Kenow, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Valek) Kenow, was born on July 19, 1933 in Faribault. She attended Bethlehem Academy and graduated with the class of 1951. On May 20, 1952 she was united in marriage to George Becker at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Donna was a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend and most of all, someone who just loved life. Donna was the second child in her family and as her brother always said, "She was the best sister a brother could ever have". She was known for baking rolls and kolacky's; making another meal for her family or friends and working in the garden so people could enjoy fresh pickles and vegetables. Donna was a member of the St. Anne's Society; the Knights of Columbus, the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion Post 43 Auxiliaries and provided service when needed to these organizations. For the last 17 years, she spent her days working at Wal-Mart and those that knew Donna recognized her voice as she answered the phone or helped them in the woman's area. Everyone who met her realized she would "take care of them" and always be there for them. Donna always seemed to know who she was... a wife, a mother, a sister and a friend. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Becker of Faribault; by seven children, Thomas (Judy) Becker of Faribault, Dennis (Patti) Becker of Cedar Rapids, IA, Nancy (Tom) Hughes of Spokane, Washington, Paul Becker and Kelly Hagen of Morristown, Gloria (Dave) Brown, Rosanne Headline and fiance Tim Peterson and Barb (Tom) Tousignant, all of Faribault; by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; by two brothers, Donald Kenow of Las Vegas, NV and Robert (Rita) Kenow of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Richard Kenow and by her son in law, Lee Headline.
