Don owned and operated a very successful farm equipment business with his son in Faribault labeled "Machinery Hill", until finding a sale in Idabel, OK that would begin a new chapter in his life. He loved to sing karaoke and attended all the local music halls in McCurtain County and could be found at any given one on Friday and Saturday nights. He loved to fish in his pond, watch the deer that would come for a drink of water and this was his favorite pastime.
