Donald Cloutier

Donald R. Cloutier, age 68 of Faribault, died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at his home following a short illness, surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.

Donald Richard, the son of Paul A. and Anna (Solberg) Cloutier, was born on July 10, 1945 in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1963. After high school Don attended the Faribault Vocational & Technical College to become a machinist. On February 27, 1965 he was united in marriage to Geraldyn A. Haug at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. They were later divorced. On August 30, 1974 Don married Nancy M. Zeise in Morristown, MN. Don worked as a machinist for a short time and then traveled with Dale Young and painted Gas Stations in different cities and states. Don would return to Faribault and on March 29, 1971 started a 37 year career as a CNC Machinist at Thermo King in Bloomington, MN. He retired on September 30, 2008. Don enjoyed going for walks at the Nature Center, going out for breakfast with his family on Saturdays, doing yard work, which he was very particular about, fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Nancy M. Cloutier of Faribault, MN; by three children, Christopher P. (Melissa) Cloutier of Fayetteville, AR, Rebecca M. (Richard) Angell and Matthew D. Cloutier, all of Faribault, MN; by four sisters, Lorraine Glynn, LaVonne Mogren, Kathy Keilen and Janice (Phil) Ellerbusch, all of Faribault, MN; by five brothers, Paul Cloutier, James Cloutier, George (Gloria) Cloutier and Russell Cloutier, all of Faribault, MN and David (Miyoko) Cloutier of Santee, CA and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Randal D. Cloutier in 2000, 4 brothers, Norman J. Cloutier in 1984, Charles A. Cloutier in 2008, Neil Cloutier in 2009 and Gerald R. Cloutier in 2010 and by two brothers-in-law, Richard Mogren in 1996 and Leo Glynn in 2007.
