Diane Bussert

Diane M. Bussert, age 70, of Faribault, MN passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home following a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Diane Marie, the daughter of Walter and Bertha (Finger) Wall, was born on November 10, 1949 in Comfrey, MN. She moved to Faribault in 1970 with her sister Nancy to work at the regional center. She worked there for several years before going to work at various group homes as a caretaker. She met the love of her life, Francis, in 1979 and they got married on June 14, 1980. She loved helping people and taking care of people. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, baking with her grandkids, playing bingo, watching her kids play softball, bowl and play pool. She loved her Minnesota Twins, having movie nights with popcorn with her kids and grandkids. She loved to read and go for rides around the nature center and the local lakes with her family. She enjoyed spending time talking with her brothers, sisters and friends. Her family and friends were everything to her.

Diane is survived by her husband, Francis; sons, Michael Munoz (Meghan Kuchinka) of Faribault, Richard Bussert (Jenny Shelstad) of Faribault and Matt Bussert (Amanda Kotek) of Owatonna; grandchildren, Jasmine Spoors, Tiara Munoz, Alec Munoz, Breonna Ferris, Lola Bussert, Liam Bussert, Alexia Bussert, and Kylie Kuchinka; siblings, Lora Wendler, Evonne Klages, Barb (Curt) Johnson, Jerry Wall, Nancy (Jim) Sartor, Cindy (Steve) Blackstad, and Dan (Terri Tolliver) Wall; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Munoz; and sisters, Lucy Johnson and Dorothy Schwartz.
