Dennis Glynn

Dennis J. Glynn, age 87, of Faribault, MN, passed away December 14, 2022, at Mill City Senior Living in Faribault following an extended illness.

Dennis Joseph, the son of Earl and Louise (Dressen) Glynn, was born on November 11, 1935, in Faribault.  He was the youngest of three children.  Dennis graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1954.  He was united in marriage to Elaine Becker on August 16, 1958.  Dennis was a master woodworker and craftsman.  He had a vision and saw potential in reclaiming and purposing wood and found his own material.  He would rather build it than buy it.  He had a love of Native American history with a passion for searching for Indian relics, many of which he would display at various trade shows.  He enjoyed time with friends and family, time at the cabin he built in northern Minnesota, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Glynn; children, Mark (Sandy) Glynn, Theresa (Dean) Manz, Jean (Bernie) Orhn, Connie Brown, and Denise Glynn; grandchildren, Kelly (Shawn) Johnson, Bryan (Rose) Glynn, Nicole (Jacob) Scissons, Luke (Karlye) Manz, Aaron Manz, Olivia Orhn, Alaina Orhn, Derek Glynn, Jessica Brown, Jason (Arianna) Dalaska, Cody (Jamie) Archibald, and Alicia (Pat) Harkness; 17 great grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Donna) Glynn; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Louise Glynn; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mathew and Clara Becker; sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Cyril Caron; sister-in-law, Patricia Glynn; brother-in-law, Kenneth Becker; and son-in-law, Robert Brown.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Shieldsville at a later date.
