Delilah A. "Dee" Kopischke, age 100 of Janesville, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14th at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiating. Interment will follow in the Janesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements.
Delilah Agnes was born May 24, 1912 in Alton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Edwin and Anna (Youngerberg) Dimmel. She was baptized June 16, 1912 and confirmed April 10, 1927, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Dee attended Janesville Public Schools, and Trinity Lutheran School. On September 14, 1933 she was united in marriage to Arthur Herman Kopischke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. For the first year of their marriage they farmed in LeRay Township, Blue Earth County. They moved to Alton Township, Waseca County where they raised their family and farmed. In 1955 they retired from farming and moved into Janesville. Dee was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Over the years she was active in the Trinity Ladies Aid, and the SE Alton Township Extension Club. Dee enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and gardening. She most enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Gerald) Stanke of Janesville; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Slaughter of Janesville, Jolene (Jason) Krause of Chaska, and Mark (Whitney) Stanke of Owatonna; great grandchildren, Breahna and Dawson Slaughter, and Nevin and Bryn Krause; sisters-in-law, Marcella Kopischke of Mankato, and Dorothy Kopischke of Janesville; many nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur in 1995; her son at infancy; brothers, Marvin (Corrine) Dimmel, Wilmar (Fran) Dimmel; sister, Violet "Tootie" (Luke) Kopischke; brothers-in-law, Edward (Agnes) Kopischke, Paul Kopischke, and Alvin Kopischke; nephews, Chuck (Deanna) Kopischke, and Steve Dimmel.
