Dean A. Meehl

Dean A. Meehl, age 60 of Faribault, MN was a caring, loving significant other, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend. Dean passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer

He was born to Donald and Bernadette (Caron) Meehl on July 17, 1962 in Faribault.  After High School Dean went to work with his Dad “Don” at the family-owned gas station, “Meehl’s” until he passed.

Dean met the love of his life, Dorothy A. Jindra in 1993, it was love at first sight.  He had no problem excepting Dorothy’s daughter Kandi as his own.  In 2006 he became a grandpa; his grandson Hunter Jeno was his pride and joy.  Dean loved going fishing, hunting, antiquing and quiet evenings at home with Dorothy.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dean.

He is survived by his significant other of 30 years, Dorothy A. Jindra of Faribault; by his daughter Kandi (Josh) Jeno of Faribault, grandson Hunter Jeno; his parents, Don and Bernie Meehl of Faribault; his siblings, Brad (Cheryl) Meehl of Faribault, Bruce (Joan) Meehl of Faribault and David (Shelley) Meehl of Warsaw; his brother-in-law, Bob Newcombe of Faribault and by many other relatives, friends and his regular customers.

He was preceded in death by his sister Debra “Deb” Newcombe and his nephew Christopher “Chris” Rodewald.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home with Sr. Kathleen Hayes from Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating.  Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. 

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
