Dawn Marie Malecha

Dawn Marie Malecha, age 59, of Dundas, MN, passed away peacefully at her home of cancer, with her husband by her side on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Throughout this difficult journey she showed unwavering strength, courage, positivity, and incredible love for her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Richard Sr. and Jeannie (Valek) Malecha; brothers, Gaylord Malecha and Richard Malecha Jr.; and her beloved golden retriever, Katie May.

She is survived by her husband, Phil Forshee; stepdaughters, Tiffany Hoffman (Rob) of Helena, MT, and Jessica Forshee of New York, NY; brother, Larry Malecha (Dawn) of Faribault, MN; sister, Renee Malecha of Rochester, MN; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

Dawn was highly regarded in her field of employment as a senior analyst with Infor installing warehouse management systems for businesses like GM and Georgia Pacific.

In her spare time, Dawn enjoyed spending time with family and friends and taking trips to casinos. Dawn travelled many miles for work and pleasure over the years and she has made her final journey.

There will be a celebration of life for Dawn on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 3:00 - 6:-00 p.m. at the Grand Event Center, 316 Washington St., Northfield, MN. Memorials to honor her memory can be made to ASPCA or World Wildlife Fund.
