David J. Gillis

David J. Gillis, age 63, of Faribault, MN, passed away January 15, 2024, following a brief illness.

David John was born on November 29, 1960, in Faribault, MN, the son of Jerome and Judy (Beecher) Gillis.  He excelled in his work as a salesman with Budget Exteriors for the past 22 years until his retirement in March 2022.  Dave enjoyed riding his Harley, being outdoors working in his yard, and loved his cat, Abby.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Wright; children, Tiffany Facanete, and Chase Gillis; one grandchild; siblings, Lisa Fierst (Joe), Sharon Rudie (Brian), and Nancy Johnson (Scott); his cat, Abby; and many nieces, a nephew, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome “Dutch” and Judy Gillis.

A special thank you to Sara Tiedemann and Levii Radloff for the care they provided to Dave during his illness.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, followed by a brief service at 7:00 p.m.  Private family interment will be at a later date.
