David B. Duban

David B. Duban, age 77 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Northfield Hospital following a sudden illness.

David Bernard, the son of Thomas and Mary (Trcka) Duban was born on August 20, 1946 in Faribault, MN.  He attended Northfield High School and graduated with the class of 1964.  On March 23, 1973 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Wolfe in Carthage, IL.  Dave was a lifelong farmer in Forest Township, Rice County on the farm where he grew up.  He was proud that their family farm would soon be a Century Farm.  He enjoyed farming, his horses, International Tractors, western movies and visiting with others.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Duban of Faribault, MN; by his children, Jeannie (Gilbert) Riehm of Northfield, MN, Landon (Lisa) Duban of Dundas, MN, Terry Duban (Jason Murphy) of Kasson, MN and Wayne Duban (Jen Pol) of Faribault, MN; by thirteen grandchildren, Gilbert (Sara) Riehm III, Michael Riehm, Matthew Riehm, Alisha (Rusty) Albrecht, Amanda (Jayce) Tomlin, Ellie Brandvold, Noah Brandvold, Adeline Duban, Jesse Duban, Cole Duban, Andie Duban, Maddox Duban and Melanie Duban; by four great grandchildren, Jaxon Riehm, Logan Riehm, Mason Riehm and Carolyn Albrecht; by his siblings, MaryAnn (Richard) Langeslag of Faribault, MN, Robert (Sylvia) Duban of Faribault, MN and Juanita Swedin of Northfield, MN and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Tammy Duban, sister and brothers-in-law, Rose and Ron Peterson and Martha and Bernard Tupy, and brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Martha Duban, and brother-in-law, Allen Swedin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault with Pastor Gary Wunderlich officiating.  Interment will be held at the Christdala Church Cemetery in Forest Township, Rice County, MN.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
