David D. Dingmann, age 75, of Prior Lake, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at The Lodge at Summit Oaks in Burnsville. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr.) in Faribault. Private family inurnment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to services on Friday. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Academy or to the University of St. Thomas in memory of David. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. David Dee Dingmann, the son of Carl and Beluah (Schwartz) Dingmann, was born on February 2, 1937 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. His family later settled in Faribault where he graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1954. Following high school, he attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. On September 12, 1959, David was united in marriage to Shirley Morris at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Shieldsville. David worked at Control Data in both Minneapolis and Redwood Falls and later with the United States Postal Service, where he retired in 1998. David thoroughly enjoyed golfing and enjoyed spending time with his family and attending many of his grandchildren's activities. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley of Prior Lake; his children, Mark (Judy) Dingmann, Dawn (Greg) Meyers and Jody (Jon) Foust; his seven grandchildren, Maddy, Riley, Erin, Sam, Lauren, Brian and Matt; his siblings, Larry (Susan) Dingmann and Diane (Phillip) Gallivan and by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
