Daniel J. Koutavas, age 48, of Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 1:00 pm at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, Faribault, MN, with Reverend Henry Doyle, officiating. Inurnment will be at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour Columbarium in Faribault.
Memorial visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Daniel Joseph was born on November 7, 1968 in Faribault to Sam and Christenna (Watzek) Koutavas. Dan graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1987. Dan was an employee of Genova Corporation where he worked for 25 years. Dan loved to spend time outdoors biking, duck hunting and fishing. He loved computers, from building his own, to programming and gaming. He had a great love for music and guitar. Dan was a kind and gentle soul, and was well known for his extraordinary sense of humor. He loved his family and spending time with his siblings, and being at home with his 2 cats.
He is survived by his siblings, Jay (Louise) Koutavas of Nashua, NH, Dena Koutavas of Faribault, MN, and David Koutavas of St. Cloud, MN; nephew, Gordon Bokman; niece, Sara Bokman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Christenna Koutavas.
