Daniel J. "Dan" Kitzman

Daniel J. “Dan” Kitzman, age 57 of Faribault, MN passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Allina Health Faribault Medical Center following an extended illness, surrounded by his family.

Daniel Joseph, the son of Gerald and Shirley (Wilson) Kitzman was born on April 27, 1966 in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1985.  Following high school, Dan began a 30 year career working at Genova until the company was sold.  He then worked for a short time at Northern Tool and most recently worked at All Flex in Northfield, MN.  Dan loved his daughter and granddaughter very much and enjoyed spending time with them.   He was a lifelong member of the Faribault pool community and a longtime member of the pool board.  He also enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards, working on cars and listening to music, especially Jelly Roll.

He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Kitzman and her daughter, Trinity of Mankato, MN; by his siblings, David Kitzman (Kelly Larson) and Kim (Harry Jr.) Gruber, all of Faribault and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dean.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Signature Bar & Grill in Faribault.  All those attending are encouraged to wear something flannel as that was Dan’s favorite.   Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault at a later date.
