Daniel Davies

Daniel E. Davies, age 64, of Duluth, MN, and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth following a brief illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Daniel Edward was born on December 12, 1951, in Ashland, WI, to Francis T. and Jeanne (Chapple) Davies. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1970 and later from Inver Hills Community College. Dan worked for many years in road construction with BMI Construction and McNamara Construction. Following his retirement he moved to Duluth in 2004. Dan loved the outdoors, spending time with his family, and caring for his dogs, Crockett and Dublin.

He is survived by his siblings, Gwen (& Charles) Harkins of Burnsville, MN, Scott (& Patricia) Davies of Minneapolis, James (& Gary Peterson) Davies of Minneapolis, Jeffrey (& Mary Jane) Davies of Grand Rapids, MN, Joel (& Kate) Davies of Goodyear, AZ, Brian (& Julie) Davies of New Hope, PA, Barry (& Lori) Davies of Faribault and Fran (& Barb) Davies of Faribault, MN; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fran and Jeanne; and great niece, Shannon O'Hara.
