Daniel B. Albrecht

Daniel B. Albrecht, age 66 of Faribault, MN and formerly of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at his home.

Daniel Bernard, the son of Richard Sr. and Rose Mary (Bolin) Albrecht was born on May 11, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN.  He attended Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and graduated with the class of 1975.  Dan was a professional musician playing the drums for over 30 years and this took him to different parts of the United States and he lived for a period of time in Key West, FL and on the north shore of Minnesota.  Minneapolis was always home for Dan until moving to Faribault where he has been for the past 20 years.  He worked at Faribo Farm and Home for over 15 years in all capacities.  He also was a bartender for a few years at the Faribault Golf Club.  Dan loved music, old rock and country especially.  He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, biking, camping, and watching concerts and old westerns on TV.  He had many pets, Chuck the rooster and cats, Fat Dumplin, Stinker, Scruffer and the Mooch, Emily.  Dan contributed often to disabled veterans and rescues for dogs and cats 

He is survived by his brother, Richard Jr. (Cheryl) Albrecht of Little Canada, MN; by his nephew, Richard Albrecht III and Jessica Hampton, and their children, Louisa and Laney of St. Anthony, MN; by his nieces, Jaime (Neil) Scott and their children, Carter and Payton of New Richmond, WI and Krissy (Mike) Beggs and their son, Spencer of Apple Valley, MN and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Albrecht Sr. and Rose Mary Albrecht and by Emily the cat.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault with Fr. Henry Doyle officiating.  Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will he held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Thursday morning for one hour prior to services.
