Danell J. Hoehn, age 48, of rural Waseca passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville with Father Michael Cronin officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville and for one hour prior to services at St. Ann's on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran School Secret Angel Fund.
Arrangements are being completed by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville.
Danell James, son of James and Janell (Roemhildt) Hoehn, was born on July 13, 1967 in Rochester, Minnesota. He attended elementary school in Brownsdale and graduated from Waterville-Elysian High School in 1985. He then attended MSU, graduating in 1997 with a degree in Aviation Management. He later went back to school, graduating with his law degree from William Mitchell in 2003. On June 22, 1996, he was united in marriage to Kendra Adams at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Danell worked for Gislason & Hunter and Kakeldy & Associates for several years before opening his own practice in Waseca. He later partnered with Bob Schmidt to create Schmidt Hoehn Law in Waseca. Throughout the years Danell was a member of several organizations including the Waseca and Elysian Chamber of Commerce, JWP School Board, Elysian Library Board, Waseca and Mankato Rotary Club, and the Harry Meyering Center Board in Mankato.
Danell loved aviation, reading, hiking, hunting, living in the country, and spending time with his children.
Danell is survived by his wife, Kendra Hoehn of Waseca; children, Regan, Brennan, Carter, Madeline, and Samuel; parents, Jim and Janell Hoehn of Elysian; sisters, Dawn (Rich) Slechta of Osceola, WI and Gwen Seeley of Elysian; brother, Andy Hoehn of Waseca; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Luane Adams of Janesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jason (Kami) Adams of Sioux Falls, SD, Chad (Ann) Adams of Albert Lea, Courtney (Ethan) Anderson of Winterville, NC, and Lindsay (Phil) Kagol of Lakeville; many nieces and nephews; and by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clare and Marie Hoehn and Elmer and Irene Roemhildt; and by one nephew.
