Christopher Chmelik

Christopher T. Chmelik, age 50 of Medford, MN died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 following a sudden illness.

Christopher Ty, the son of Marvin and Joanne (Neymeyer) Chmelik was born on September 2, 1972 in Faribault, MN.  He attended Faribault Senior High School.  Chris started his working career with BMI in Faribault and later was an owner/operator of his own business, C. Chmelik Trucking.  Most recently he was a truck driver for M&J Trucking in Lakeville, MN.  Chris enjoyed cooking, 4-wheeling, riding his motorcycle, ice fishing and hunting.  Chris especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Chris is survived by his parents, Marvin and Joanne Chmelik of Aitkin, MN; by his brothers, George (Kim) Chmelik of Faribault and their daughters, Rosalyn and Emily and Johnathan (Stacy) Chmelik of Morristown and their daughter, Karly and by other relatives and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Neymeyer and Rudy and Martha Chmelik.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kenyon, MN.  Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.  There will be no reviewal at the church on Thursday.
