Cheryl L. Surber

Cheryl L. Surber, age 71, of Faribault, MN, passed away July 28, 2024, following an extended illness.

Cheryl Lynn was born on November 29, 1952, in Faribault, MN, the daughter of Donald L. and Dorothy M. (Polson) Collins. She graduated from Faribault High School. Cheryl had worked for Video Max/Faribo Tan. Prior to that she worked in ticket sales with carnivals, drove taxi, worked at Mercury Minnesota and Faribault Regional Center. Cheryl had a great love for all animals. Over the years she had fish, exotic birds, horses, dogs, cats, and even turkeys.

She is survived by her daughter, Angel Pettis (James) of Bentonia, MS; two sons, Jason Surber of Kyle, TX, and Beau Surber of Faribault; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Marsha White of Waseca, MN; sister-in-law, Susan Collins of Winnebago, MN; brother-in-law, Allen Wagner of Faribault; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy; sister, Linda Wagner; brother, Gene Collins; grandson, Joseph Pettis; brother-in-law, Paul White; two nephews, Corey Wagner and Joseph Collins; and two great nephews, Nathaniel Wagner and Cody Wagner.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1108 Westwood Drive, Faribault, with Bro. James Pettis, officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
