Cheryl I. McKean, age 73, of Parker, CO, passed away on May 25, 2024, following a brief illness.

Cheryl Ione was born on November 21, 1950, in Owatonna, MN, the daughter of Arnold and Leona (Kavitz) Voll. She graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1968 and attended Ritter’s Beauty School. Cheryl worked as a medical assistant at the Swedish Hospital in Denver, CO, for 25 years. She was united in marriage to Robert McKean on October 10, 2000. Cheryl loved to cook and working on her craft projects, even earning a purple ribbon at the State Fair for sewing. She had a tremendous gift for remembering dates, birthdays, and anniversaries. Cheryl enjoyed the outdoors, loved gardening, and had an eye for photographing. You could also find Cheryl on the hunt for treasures antique shopping and thrifting.

She is survived by her husband, Robert McKean; son, Christopher LaBarre; sisters, Debra Rafdal, Pamela Curry, and Tracy (Todd) Jerzak; six nieces and nephews, Karlee Jerzak, Sheena Curry, Chad (Amanda) Curry, Zachary (Ana) Curry, and Joshua (Molly) Curry; three step children, Alex, Ian, and Allison McKean; seven step grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Voll, and Leona Rafdal.

A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 Third Ave SE, Rochester.
