Charlotte L. Schwartz, age 89, of Faribault, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a sudden illness.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault, 139 Mercy Drive. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.             Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.             Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.             Charlotte Louise Pettipiece, the daughter of Edward and Louise (Pittman) Pettipiece, was born on August 23, 1922 in Faribault. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1940. On June 1, 1949 she was united in marriage to George C. Schwartz at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. After their marriage they lived in Faribault and raised their family. Charlotte also worked for 33 years as an Operator for Northwestern Bell and later US West. George preceded her in death on July 12, 1994. Charlotte was known for her handcrafted gifts that she would give to her children and grandchildren. The gifts were made with her hands, as she loved to knit, sew, crochet and embroider. Charlotte enjoyed cooking, baking and also visits from her family, especially from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.             She is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Dick) Gunderson of Austin, MN, Carol (Mark) Freed of Faribault, MN and Anita (Chris) Rugg of Brooklyn Park, MN; by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; by her brother, Francis Pettipiece and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.             She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sister in infancy, Mary Agnes Pettipiece, by two sisters, Geneva Fessel and Elaine Schumann and by two brothers, Clayton and Harlan Pettipiece.
